Ultimate Frisbee
Ultimate Frisbee was introduced to me in middle school gym class as the weird sport that supposedly had no rules. Despite first impressions, I continued playing Ultimate among friends and in the local league. I was a founding member of my high school's Ultimate Frisbee club, and we went on to compete at a state level. I was the captain of the Ultimate Frisbee open-gender team at Grinnell College for a year, where I taught and refined the skills of both new and returning players. These days, I play pick-up whenever I have the chance. My favorite part of Ultimate is being part of a team and enabling our collective success.
